« on: May 22, 2021, 21:15:58 PM »
Hello Everyone.
I hope you are all managing to keep dry, and with the relaxing in the restrictions, you have been able to get out of the house!

Thanks to everyone you took the time to read and comment on all the items on the Agenda in   the recent ‘online’ AGM. I hope you all found it easy to navigate.
The software used (forum) will remain in use for members. As well as copies of past Newsletters, a copy of the AGM minutes is available, also there are other sections that l hope members will use and contribute to in the future.

For those who have not yet been able to get to the Club, here is a brief rundown on some of the things that have gone on in the clubroom.
CLUBROOM
Worktable: The space by the kitchen has now had a good tidy (thanks Peter). If you recall it was crammed with three tables and other stuff. Now it is nice and clear, the table has been turned so that it comes out from the window. This will allow members to either use it to work on or just somewhere to sit with a cuppa!
LAYOUTS/PROJECTS
Chippenham: Progress has continued on the lighting rig and an updated control panel awaits testing.
Cutlers Junction: Tony has continued with the urban setting within the loop near the station end. Various industrial buildings, houses etc have been placed and a road viaduct now crosses the entire loop to the station buildings. A short hillside has been constructed to ‘hide’ some of the curves, and Glyn has continued with his scenic work. The pointwork at the station throat are now being wired and fixed in place, to allow the remainder of the track to be fixed in place.
0 Gauge Branch: The control panel at the station end has been removed and will be re-sited once the storage yards underneath have been built for Cutlers Junction.
G Scale: Tony is awaiting some decent weather so that he can continue outside with the extension.
Bodmin N Gauge: Mike and Graham are back working on the layout. All scenery has been removed with final testing of the track work taking place, once done it can be permanently fixed down. Work is also proceeding with the river bed before the scenery is put back.
CLEANING/SAFETY
As previously mentioned, the landlords have had a new waste system installed. Please only use the ‘eco’ friendly products supplied (if you see one of them getting low, let me know).
Will members still note that the guidelines regarding ‘Hands/Face/Space’ still apply when attending the Club. Also please don’t forget to open a couple of windows (or door) upon arrival to allow the flow of air.

AND FINALLY
Once again, on behalf of the Committee can l say a big thank you to ALL the members for continuing to support the Club during the prolonged lock down, your continued support is extremely appreciated.
That’s all for now. Take care, keep safe and hopefully we will all meet soon.
