THE TEST TRACKS
As you will have all noticed by now the large oval test tracks have been lifted. The test tracks were little used and by the removal of the end board opposite the kitchen it has given us more workbench space for club or members projects.
To enable members to test their stock Cutlers Junction and the Quarry will both soon be DC and DCC compatible.
After some ‘back of an envelope’ calculations by Peter L, the 0 gauge branch will now be an end to end layout with a locomotive & goods facility on the boards that once had part of the test track (under the end widow).
N gauge will be addressed as and when we have more members interested in this scale.

MEMBERS LAYOUTS
As mentioned at our recent meeting Alwyn (as part of his convalescence after upcoming knee surgery) will be starting construction of his N Gauge layout of Chippenham Station. He will be doing this in his garage so if any member would like contribute in any way it would be more than welcome.

THE AUTUMN PROJECT
Episode one of the Autumn Project began on Saturday 4th November. Under the leadership of Peter P members (new and old to model railways) went through the design of the layout, laying of track and initial testing took place. Next week will see underlay, wiring and initial scenic work outlined.
This project is designed for any member no matter what their experience (or lack off) to take part. It is there for you to practise on, don’t worry if mistakes are made!

PROJECT LEADERS
As discussed at our recent meeting a new structure was agreed with regards to Layouts. All layouts are to have Project Leaders who will liaise with all members over what work is required on any of the layouts. Just a reminder of who to speak to if you would like to take part in any way to any of the Layout Projects:

WARLEY NATIONAL MODEL RAILWAY SHOW AT THE NEC
We were offered a stand at this year’s show to help promote our club which we have taken up.
To all those who have offered to assist in manning the stand – Peter P, Don, Colin, Peter L, Mike and Vic (who is coming down from Harrogate by train in the morning and then going back again in the afternoon!).
