Hello All !
A Bit late with this edition, but got there in the end!

RUNNING DAYS
Thanks to all those who attended the last couple of Running Days on the first Saturday of the month, and thanks to Peter P for doing the sausages and bacon, very much enjoyed by all there. These were suspended due to holidays etc.
The next one will be on Saturday 15th September, so get out those locos that have been sitting in boxes for years and bring them in for a run.

SNOWSHILL MANOR – WOLFS COVE
A number of our members are helping out at Snowshill Manor. More progress in getting the railway up and operational.
The electrical supply problems have been solved and incline corrected out of the tunnel, trains are now running.
We now need to tackle getting through to the other side of the tunnel and out into the flower beds.
Then we can approach the Trust officials to let us build a small goods yard to match the original installation at the far side (not easy).

WORKSHOPS
The workshops arranged by Tony and given by various members of the Club have been excellent, but due to lack of numbers attending because of holidays etc., it has been decided to postpone the rest of the workshops until the Autumn.
A revised list of workshops will be published nearer the time.
Part of the excellent worshop given by Alwyn on using plastic card.

BIDFORD JUNCTION
Over the summer there have been two excellent ‘open garden’ days on a Sunday to view Tony’s G scale garden railway (along with excellent cream tea’s)!

STATFOLD BARN
Another good day playing trains at Statfold, never seen so many trains in steam in one place since our last visit. The sheer variety and condition of so many loco's was staggering. The ability to hop on and off all the different trains could keep you entertained all day, including the tram and rail car.
The round house is quite the biggest I've ever seen and their engineering workshops with all the computer driven machinery is a must.
Two visits by several members of the club who travel to Statfold Barn near Tamwoth to visit the extensive Narrow Gauge Railway and workshops. It is home to one of the largest collections of Narrow Gauge locomotives in the UK and is well worth a visit. It is not open to the public, if you would like to go Tony has some application forms or you can go on their website statfoldbarnrailway.co.uk.
