SAUSAGE SATURDAY/BRING & BUY
The next Sausage Saturday/Running Day will be on Saturday 1st December. This will coincide with our first Bring & Buy, you should have had more details on this via email, if not speak to Peter P. Thanks to all those who have attended throughout the year and thanks again to Peter P for doing the sausages/bacon, very much enjoyed by all.

WORKSHOPS
The workshops arranged by Peter and Tony last Autumn and earlier this year were excellent.
These will be starting up again shortly so if there is something you want to have a go at then please let Peter or Tony know. A list of proposed workshops will be published shortly.

RAIL DAYS
Tony has produced a list of various suggested ‘rail days’ ranging from Museums to Preserved Lines to Layouts at members homes!

THE CLUBROOM
As some of you may be aware there was a meeting held between members of the Committee and the Landlords. The main purpose of the meeting was to find out the sort of rent that the Landlords were looking for over the coming years and also an increase in the length of notice on the current tenancy agreement. The Landlords have agreed to extending the notice period from 7 days to 28 days. The rent increase to £275 per month as from April 2019 and to £300 per month as from April 2020. The standing charge of £15 per month for heating will remain, but there will be no charge for electricity (unless there is a significant increase!). At this point in time and providing we stay at roughly the same number of members the Committee felt there was no need to increase the current subscriptions.

LEAMINGTON & WARWICK MRS
Again we have been invited to have a display at their show on the weekend of Sat 2nd March & Sun 3rd March 2019
As soon as we have know the space we will be allocated, a decision on what we will take to display can be made. As previously, assistance from members to help ‘man the stand’ if only for a few hours would be much appreciated.

MEMBERS
The Committee continues to be impressed by the progress of members modelling skills and their support for the club. We consider ourselves to be fortunate to have such a great bunch people as members who contribute so much to the club. The Committee will continue to look at ways to attract another new member or two! (Any suggestions/ideas welcomed)

In other News . . .
This years WARLEY SHOW at the NEC is on Saturday 24th & Sunday 25th November 2018 Although the Club had an invitation to have a stand it was decided that we would not have a display this year. The Committee will consider this again next year should we get an invitation.
This year’s CHRISTMAS LUNCH is at the Golden Cross, Ardens Grafton on Tuesday 4th December. Again expertly organised by Tony and if anything like earlier years it will be another wonderful afternoon.
